Winter storm warning: northeast Minnesota; northern Wisconsin; central and western Oklahoma.

Winter weather advisory: central and southeastern Montana; northeastern Wyoming; southern and southeastern Colorado; western South Dakota; southern, central, and northeastern Kansas; western, central, and southeastern Oklahoma; northern Texas; northern Arkansas; northern Missouri; West-central Illinois; southern and northeastern Minnesota; northern and western Wisconsin.

High wind watch: southern California; western Texas.

Wind advisory: eastern New Mexico; western Texas.

Here is a look at the weather for the start of your week into the midweek with the latest 3-day forecast from the National Weather Service (NWS).

Monday: Snow through nation’s midsection

West: Snow over most of Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado, as well as central and northeastern Utah, and into central and northeastern New Mexico.

Central US: Snow over Western North Dakota; western South Dakota, Northwestern and southeastern Nebraska, into central and western Kansas. Heavy snow over central and western Oklahoma. Snow over northern Texas. Mixed precipitation over widespread areas of Kansas, Oklahoma, into northern and northeastern Texas.

Great Lakes region/Ohio Valley: Snow over most of Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois, as well as over much of Iowa, northern Michigan, and East-central Missouri. Snow over Western Indiana.

South/mid-south: Thunderstorms over the eastern half of Texas into Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, western Georgia, and the Florida Panhandle. The northern regions of the Midsouth in Tennessee and Kentucky will see mixed precipitation.

Southeast: Rain over the eastern coast of Florida and along the coast of Georgia and South Carolina. Possible freezing rain over southwestern North Carolina along the Tennessee border.

Tuesday: Snow for North-central US, Ice storm from Southeast to Northeast

Snow over the northern Rockies and north-central US over portions of Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, the Dakotas, Nebraska, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana.

An ice storm will stretch from North Carolina into portions of Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, and New Hampshire.

Mixed precipitation for most of the Great Lakes region, Ohio Valley, mid-Atlantic and Northeast.

Thunderstorms in the South and Southeast over Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, the Carolinas, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.

Wednesday: Widespread snow across the northern tier; ice storm and heavy snow in Northeast

Widespread snow across the northern tier from the west to the Great Lakes region into the Ohio Valley over portions of Washington, Idaho, all of Montana, most of Wyoming and the Dakotas, into portions of Colorado and Nebraska, most of Minnesota and Wisconsin, northern Michigan, and most of Iowa, Illinois, and Indiana, into northern Missouri.

Mixed precipitation over larger regions of the mid-South, Great Lakes area, Ohio Valley, mid-Atlantic, and Northeast. In the West, a wintry mix over central and southern New Mexico into Western Texas.

An ice storm in the Northeast over portions of Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.

Heavy snow over northern regions of Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.

Rain over central and eastern Florida, as well as over the eastern regions of Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.
