Online Debate Questions Scope and Cost of Pakistan Airport Security Proposal

This is really concerning even if its in early stage of proposal. Because public will have no say in that. Parliament and judiciary(via 27th amendment) have been already being used as rubber stamp.

"Securiport", the firm in question, is not Palantir. Palantir's software is incredibly expensive. Pakistan can not afford Palantirs tech. So that's out of question here (also out of context).

Just because Palantir is now in the spotlight doesn't mean it fits everywhere.

You best believe that evil racist kvnt (peter thiel) plantir is going to be behind this infrastructure. This is death to our freedom of movement as we know it.

Just because Palantir is now trending on YouTube, doesn't mean it fits everywhere. Specially, when neither the subject, content, or company in question are Palantir.

By this logic, why don't we throw in the North Koreans into this mix and start discussing that?

It's distressing that some of you can't understand basic text and logic.

Another social media commentator argued that basic infrastructure deserved greater priority than additional surveillance investment.

but also hilarious for OP to think the current airport system Pisces isn't provided and integrated with the US

With every new thing integrated there comes another level of access to data points.

Wow the level of monitoring on us Pakistanis is getting insane, from collecting personal data door-to-door, God know what sorta spywares installed on our mobile devices and now this.

Looks like we're lab rats for em just to see how an actual 100% surveilled society functions.

Pakistan pay 2.4B for the yanks to spy on us???

It's a proposal, not accepted, nor should it be.

$2.4 billion airport security investment by an international firm and the award of a Rs20 billion e-gate project without open bidding are exaggerated and misleading

Bhai, the article in the tweet is the same one here.

what about a random dude on twitter who's track record nobody knows?

He's not the source of the report. The article didn't even deny the report but gave excuses.

"These sources said that the deployment of advanced airport security systems, including Advanced Passenger Information (API) and Passenger Name Record (PNR), is being pursued in line with established procurement procedures. The process is being conducted in full compliance with the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) rules, the sources added."

What sources you goof, link it. It's just a proposal, no one is stupid enough to give the US/Israel access so easily. Especially since we know Chinese cameras installed in India were used to target Indian sites after Operation Tandoor.

This post maliciously reframes the current state of affairs (possibly for propaganda).
